
The implementation status of the “Taipei FIR CNS/ATM Development and Implementation Program” is described below:
1. Construction of North and South ATS Parks:
a. North ATS Park:
1. The Electrical Machinery and the Air Condition maintenance contractor moved into the North
ATS Park on 1 July 2008. The Aviation Police also moved into the North ATS Park on 1 July
2008. The ANWS took possession of the North ATS Park on 10 July 2008.
b. South ATS Park:
1. The license to operate the South ATS Park was obtained on 13 June 2008. The ANWS
finished the final check of the South ATS Park on 22 July 2008.
2. ATM System Implementation Plan:
1. The Air Traffic Control, FIS and CNS Cadre instructors were sent abroad to the contractor
factories in stages to receive system operation and maintenance trainings from 28 July
2008 to 19 Sep 2008. All the ATMS and AISS factory trainings were completed by 19
September 2008.
2. Seminar on Global CNS and ATM Technologies and Trends was conducted from 18 Aug 2008
to 20 Aug 2008.
3. Digital Voice Communication Switching System (DVCSS) equipment and Distributed
Information and Voice Operating System (DIVOS) equipment has been shipped to Taiwan on
20 Aug 2008 and is temporarily stored at the warehouse of Tatung System technologies Inc.
(TSTI) ANWS assisted the TSTI to check the shipment against the provisioning parts list on 2
Sep, 4 Sep and 8 Sep. DVCSS and DIVOS equipment planned to be installed at the South
ATS Park were shipped to the South ATS Park for temporary storage. ANWS schedules to
install the remote radio control equipment at the 7 navigation aid sites from 15 Sep 2008 to 31
Oct 2008.
4. Regarding the ATMS subsystem “Radar Signal Transmitting and Receiving Bridging Server”
(contract number RCOM-20080716) procurement, the contractor completed the equipment
delivery on 3 Sep 2008. ANWS is preparing for the equipment Acceptance.
5. ANWS has completed the training of the Global Positioning System (GPS) Receiver
Autonomous Integrity Monitor (RAIM) Prediction System (RPS) on 30 July 2008 and the RPS
Site Acceptance Test on 1 Aug 2008. ANWS will submit a Proposal for RAIM NOTAM (used to
be GPS NOTAM) operations before 30 Sep 2008. (The RPS contract is estimated to be
completed by end of 2008).
