2011 was Taiwan's centennial year. Adding to this cheerful atmosphere, Air Navigation and Weather Services handed-in a spectacular report card, in which, the 4.4 billion-dollar, Taipei Flight Information Region Communications, avigation, Surveillance and Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) Development and Implementation Plan was accomplished on December 31. Inauguration of the New Air Traffic Management System, the most important part of the project, took place on October 5 at North Air Traffic Services Park and officially signified a milestone in ATS development!
