The Organization Regulation of the Air Navigation and Weather Services under the Civil Aviation Administration of the MOTC was enacted and promulgated. Safety and Planning Office (including the Safety Management and Audit Section and the Planning Section) and ATM Program Office (including the ATM System Planning Section and the ATM System Operation Section) were established, while Taitung Aviation Facilities Sector and Taitung Approach Control Tower were dissolved.

The Organization Act of the Air Navigation and Weather Services under the Civil Aeronautics Administration of the MOTC was enacted and promulgated on June 24 1998.
July 1972
The Executive Yuan approved the establishment of the Air Navigation and Weather Services (ANWS) as a professional and international fourth-level administrative agency.
September 1969
The Civil Aeronautics Administration Flight Control Department, Aeronautical Communication Station, Flight Navigation Station, and Taipei Weather Station were combined to form the Air Navigation and Weather Services through functional integration.
