The automatic handoff function (Transfer Of Control / Assumption Of Control, TOC/AOC) between the Hong Kong and Taipei FIR was activated. Through automatic handoff function, it will reduce the workload and time required for the original handoff procedure. Besides, the reduction of boundary spacing for the same level aircrafts from 30 NM to 20NM would definitely improve the cooperation between the air traffic control services of the two parties being smoother and safer.

ANWS invited Dr. Chia, Chi-fen, a distinguished professor at NTUST and current Vice Chairman of Aviation Safety Council, to give a lecture on"An Introduction to Human Factors in Air Traffic Services". Through the talk, everyone is more aware of the impact of human factors in air traffic services and learns how to develop and implement human factors tools to improve SMS.
